Dreamweaver

Well we started looking at dreamweaver last day, and I don't know how well I am going to do on this project. I am not very proficient with the internet already. I do think when I learn how to use dreamweaver it will be an excellent tool for me in the future. Well heres hoping.

Just playing around

This is just something I was playing around with. It was another idea I had for a collage. It is mostly just a fun picture of my trip to Bishop this reading week.

Collage

So we did collages, and I wasn't very excited about them at first. I have seen some collages and I always thought they were pretty lame. Some of the ones I researched looked pretty cool, but it still didn't motivate me to want to make one myself. Then I decided to do one that I might actuallly enjoy doing, one that interests me and is related to me. I made my collage on climbing, my true love. It was actually alot of fun and I ended up with several ideas in the end.

This was the final product which I am pleased with. It is a picture of Bishop California, and me climbing there.

Self portrait

Well I just realized I am supose to be making weekly entries for class....Opps. So I will start doing that now. Today we are handing in our self portraits. They were alot of fun to work on, and a pain all at the same time. I really like using photoshop, but seeeing as I am a newbie at the program I had to figure everything out the hard way. In the end it all worked out, it just took me awhile to get what I wanted. And actually it didn't get exactly as I wanted, but thats ok.

The Plaidinator aka ME

Well this is me, or how I see myself atleast. I drew a pretty cool sketch of the plaidinator, but do to my lack of knowledge when it comes to computers I couldn't get it to show up on my post, so heres the awsome one I did on paint.

New Media 2020D

Now as for my New Media backround I am going to say I have 0 experience. I made a myspace once, but my brother did all the work and I haven't been on it since he made it for me. I also have one of those msn spaces, I only made it to post pictures and stories for my friends and family while I was in Costa Rica. All of my yonger sisters are quite good with computers, but I am not. I don't even own a computer. I took this class cause I heard it was interesting and I love learning new skills, and ofcourse because my friend signed up with me. By the end of the class I am hoping to be able to do something cool, I am not sure what we learn in this class weither it is graphic design or web design, I'm not picky as long as I have something to show for it. I also hope to recieve an A in this class too. ;) So as fro my experence, I have next to none. I have heard of photoshop before, but don't know how to work it. And I have no idea what dreamwever and primere are. I do not have a video camera, and what is a digital still??? I have a digital camera is that what you mean??? Its not the greatest but it gets the job done.

About ME

Hi my name is Cassandra. Yup thats me to the left. I am currently attending my third year at the University of Lethbridge. I am majoring in exercise science, no that doesn't mean I get to take gym classes. Although I did take swimming last semester which was awsome. Ok let me take this back afew steps. I am from Bampton, Ontario, I know I'm sorry. People in Alberta always seem offended when I tell them where I am from. I moved to Alberta afew years ago and am loving it, well most of it. I don't always love the -20 to -35 we get here. I come from a rather large family, 1 older brother and 3 younger sisters, 5 step brothers and 5 stepsisters.

Right now I do have a job, I know amazing working and going to school. I work the front desk at the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel. And other than work and school, I started a waterpolo team, I climb alot, I am training for a 10 km race that is going to be held in March, and I am thinkiong of joining a swing dancing class.

Ok now where is all of this going to lead me, as major in exercise science, and a bunch of random sports. Well originally when I started school I wanted to be the athletic therapist for the Toronto Maple Leafs or move to a jungle and join a tribe. As I have grown older I have decided to change my path to a more fullfilling one. Once I graduate I would like to get my masters in either physiotheripy or occupational therapy. I would also like to raise a family and travel the world.
